Energy Drinks and Alcohol Lead To Casual Sex
July 31, 2012 | 9 months ago
Alcohol mixed with energy drinks may make US college students more likely to have casual sex, a new study has found. Study author Kathleen E. Miller, senior research scientist at the University at Buffalo’s Research Institute on Addictions in New York state, said the study findings seem to indicate that alcohol mixed with energy drinks might play a role in the “hook-up culture” that exists on many college campuses. Miller said the lesson is drinking a Red Bull and vodka or Jagerbombs doesn’t mean you’re going to hook up — just that you’re more likely to. Be warned though. Previous research indicates performance during sex is often worse when you’re drunk.
